Saint Nicolas Place

Newly restored, Birmingham's finest collection of Tudor buildings, Saint Nicolas Place, now provides an exciting and unique venue for meetings, staff away-days and training. Carefully integrated modern facilities complement the timbered Tudor buildings to create an environment that's also ideal for entertaining key clients and overseas visitors or providing the perfect backdrop for a product launch. We can cater for groups ranging from five to one hundred people and our facilities include a café and wireless internet connectivity. Whatever the event, we can provide refreshments on site, from finger buffets to gourmet lunches and dinners. If you're tired of sterile, bland, could-be-anywhere-in-the-world venues, then let five hundred years of history help provide a the atmosphere to inspire your meetings and training events. Saint Nicolas Place now boasts five beautifully restored timber-framed Tudor rooms and two modern halls that can be laid out in any configuration you require. Large rooms for plenary sessions and smaller spaces for break-out make for a totally flexible meeting venue in a lovely, tranquil environment. Buffet refreshments can be served in rooms or your delegates can enjoy a gourmet meal served in a beautiful 15th century timbered hall. Data projectors, flip charts, overhead projectors and other equipment are all available for hire. The site is managed by the Kings Norton Restoration Trust and owned by the parish church. Café- The Saracen’s Head café is open every day (except Sunday) 10am-4pm. Guided tours- Fridays and Saturdays 11am and 2pm. There is a charge of £4.00 for adults and £3.00 for concessions. Self guided tours- Fridays and Saturdays 11am and 2pm. There is a charge of £2.00 for adults and £1.50 for concessions. Tours of Saint Nicolas Church- available on the second Saturday of the month at 12.30pm or group bookings are available by appointment. Church tours are charged at £2.00 for an adult and £1.50 for concessions. Although we try to ensure that our rooms are free on Fridays and Saturdays over the summer months our rooms may occasionally be in use for weddings. It is therefore always advisable to ring in advance to check the availability of a tour before making your visit.
