Custard Factory

The Custard Factory, set in the Bohemian Quarter of Birmingham, is made up of a community of small creative enterprises, unique retail outlets and 500 artists. Threaded by green spaces, fountains and sculptures and complemented by all manner of shops from boutique vintage clothing and furniture outlets to complementary therapies, hair and beauty offerings.

Located just ¼ mile from Birmingham City Centre, The Custard Factory is made up of a unique collection of compelling buildings which form inspiring backdrops to all manner of events. The Theatre
The Theatre is the pearl in the crown of the events space offerings at The Custard Factory. Comprised of a 105 seated, tiered auditorium, stage area, 2 dressing rooms plus state of the art audio visual equipment.
The Theatre is the obvious choice for intimate screenings, premier’s as well as product launches. The stage area also provides an extra dimension to The Theatre, enabling combinations of presentations, screenings and workshops for corporate events.Space 2
Space 2 is a 1200 capacity venue, which formerly was a working industrial factory. It has been lovingly restored to form the largest event space at The Custard Factory. Original features have been retained and restored such as exposed brickwork and metal piping, forming a particularly modern venue, perfect for all manner of events such including conferences, exhibitions, product launches and gigs.

The Ornamental Lake
The Ornamental Lake is situated at the heart of the Custard Factory and is surrounded by retail outlets, as well as events spaces in the form of The Vaad Gallery, The Kitchen Café and the famous Factory Club. The Ornamental Lake can be used as a backdrop to your event or alternatively it can be drained and a marquee erected, providing another dimension to the events capabilities at the Custard Factory. Dressing options for the marquee are extensive, ranging from Bedouin influences to classic bistro furniture with wooden flooring and a chandelier.

The Gallery
The Gallery is situated opposite the Theatre and Kitchen Café and is a haven for new and established artists to exhibit their works in a quality environment specially designed for exhibition purposes. Overlooking the Ornamental Lake, The Vaad Gallery is a fascinating environment for corporate events, cocktail parties and buffet receptions.
